Sharing~~



He was born in Johor Bahru on 12 February 1922. He was married to Tun Suhaila Binti Mohammad Noah for 42 years and he also married to Tun Suhaila Binti Mohammad Noah. He had 2 sons and 4 daughters. He received his early education in Singapore and at English College in Johor Bahru. In 1949, he becomes the first youth chief of UMNO. He died on 29 Mei 1990 in Seaton Medical Center, San Francisco at the age of 68. The person that I means is Allahyarham Tun Hussein Bin Dato’ Onn was the third Prime Minister of Malaysia ruling from 1976 until 1981.

How Tun Hussein Bin Dato’ Onn has influence me?

Why I choose Tun Hussein as my inspiration?

This is because of his attitude. Firstly, Tun Hussein always cautious when making decisions. He was a very cautious when make decisions affecting the affairs of the country. He is vey straights to his principles. Military experiences make Tun Hussein a disciplined and always punctual. He known to be humility and honesty and he celebrated by Malaysian as a leader.

Secondly, he is a strive person. In UMNO, Tun Hussein Onn strives to maintain unity among the members and the leaders of the party that can deal with challengers that arise. As a strive person, he took some action to eliminate corruption in government or party. In additionally, he was received pressure from members to eliminate elements that are suspected to be involved in the activities of pro-communist. For the progress of the party, he has launched a Koperasi Usaha Bersatu (KUB) in May 1977. This koperasi received membership from among the members of UMNO and Malays in general with the purpose of accelerating the participation of Malay in the economy sector.

Thirdly, he was also an active person. He inspires me to be an active person. Since retiring from politics, Tun Hussein Onn was active in Social and other contributing towards country development. He was appointed by Dato’ Seri Dr. Mahathir as the first president at International Islamic University. He was also a chairman of the Institute of Strategic and International Studies and a president of Petronas Advisor Association of the Blind Malaysia. Now, an eye hospital has enshrined his name and known as the Tun Hussein Onn Eye Hospital.

For the conclusion, Tun Hussein Onn was looked upon as being very sincere in his struggle for racial unity and had a reputation of being firm against anyone that tried to create racial unrest in the country and it was due to this, that he was known as Bapa Perpaduan or Father of Unity.
